This weekend sees the fourth round of the 2026 British Superbike and Quattro Group British Supersport Championships unfold with McAMS Yamaha heading to the fast and flowing Snetterton circuit for another intense weekend of domestic racing.
Off the back of strong results and a haul of silverware at Knockhill, the team’s BSB and BSS trio of Brad Ray, Ben Currie and Harry Truelove arrive at Snetterton full of ambition.
In the British Superbike Championship, Yamaha R1 rider Ray secured two well-deserved podium finishes at the last round, strengthening his 2026 title challenge to sit fourth in the standings heading into the weekend, with a 47-point gap to the lead. With three races on the horizon this weekend, there is plenty of opportunity to claw back some ground.
The 29-year-old continues to impress, and with more speed and determination than ever, he returns to the Norwich-based circuit – a happy hunting ground – ready to take the fight to his rivals.
The 2.99-mile Snetterton layout has been a fruitful venue for the title hopeful in the past, most notably delivering a standout triple victory last season. With similar ambitions this weekend, and confidence boosted by his performances at Knockhill, Ray and the team head to Norfolk firmly focused on the top step of the podium.
In the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship, Australian rider Currie heads into the weekend in high spirits, having added another victory aboard the Yamaha R9 to his 2026 campaign at the last round.
Three rounds into the season, the #61 rider is firmly in the title hunt – sitting second in the championship standings, just seven points adrift of leader Luke Stapleford.
Currie made up valuable ground in the standings at Knockhill, courtesy of that memorable victory and a further podium finish across the weekend. The two standout performances underlined his title credentials and delivered a timely confidence boost heading into what looks set to be another strong venue for rider and machine alike.
On the other side of the team’s Supersport effort, Truelove is eager to bounce back after a challenging but constructive weekend at Knockhill, the #44 rider currently sitting sixth in the standings with more points up for grabs across Saturday and Sunday.
The Lincolnshire rider has historically performed well at Snetterton, and the team are hopeful the 2.99-mile circuit will bring out the best in him, much as Donington Park did back in May, where he delivered a strong showing to secure an encouraging podium in the opening race of the weekend.
The British Supersport duo face two races this weekend, both arriving with high ambitions to improve their standings positions and add more silverware to the trophy cabinet.
