McAMS Yamaha Target Additional Podiums at Snetterton

Round 4: Snetterton

This weekend sees the fourth round of the 2026 British Superbike and Quattro Group British Supersport Championships unfold with McAMS Yamaha heading to the fast and flowing Snetterton circuit for another intense weekend of domestic racing.

Off the back of strong results and a haul of silverware at Knockhill, the team’s BSB and BSS trio of Brad Ray, Ben Currie and Harry Truelove arrive at Snetterton full of ambition.

In the British Superbike Championship, Yamaha R1 rider Ray secured two well-deserved podium finishes at the last round, strengthening his 2026 title challenge to sit fourth in the standings heading into the weekend, with a 47-point gap to the lead. With three races on the horizon this weekend, there is plenty of opportunity to claw back some ground.

The 29-year-old continues to impress, and with more speed and determination than ever, he returns to the Norwich-based circuit – a happy hunting ground – ready to take the fight to his rivals.

The 2.99-mile Snetterton layout has been a fruitful venue for the title hopeful in the past, most notably delivering a standout triple victory last season. With similar ambitions this weekend, and confidence boosted by his performances at Knockhill, Ray and the team head to Norfolk firmly focused on the top step of the podium.

In the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship, Australian rider Currie heads into the weekend in high spirits, having added another victory aboard the Yamaha R9 to his 2026 campaign at the last round.

Three rounds into the season, the #61 rider is firmly in the title hunt – sitting second in the championship standings, just seven points adrift of leader Luke Stapleford.

Currie made up valuable ground in the standings at Knockhill, courtesy of that memorable victory and a further podium finish across the weekend. The two standout performances underlined his title credentials and delivered a timely confidence boost heading into what looks set to be another strong venue for rider and machine alike.

On the other side of the team’s Supersport effort, Truelove is eager to bounce back after a challenging but constructive weekend at Knockhill, the #44 rider currently sitting sixth in the standings with more points up for grabs across Saturday and Sunday.

The Lincolnshire rider has historically performed well at Snetterton, and the team are hopeful the 2.99-mile circuit will bring out the best in him, much as Donington Park did back in May, where he delivered a strong showing to secure an encouraging podium in the opening race of the weekend.

The British Supersport duo face two races this weekend, both arriving with high ambitions to improve their standings positions and add more silverware to the trophy cabinet.

“Snetterton is a circuit I really enjoy, and I’m looking forward to getting back there with the boys at McAMS Yamaha this weekend. My feeling on the R1 is great at the minute, I feel comfortable in the direction we’re heading in, and have full faith that we’ll turn up as a team ready to give it everything. Last year’s results obviously give us some confidence heading into the round, and despite the challenges that we’ve already had to deal with so far this year, I’m confident we can make a return this weekend and have a good go at fighting at the front. The gap in the championship is something we’re aware of, but with three races this weekend there’s a real opportunity to make a dent in it. Knockhill showed everyone that we’ve got the pace to mix it up at the front, and that’s exactly what we’ll be aiming to do again.”

Ben Currie

McAMS Yamaha - Rider (Quattro Group British Supersport)

“I’m feeling good heading into this weekend. The team and I have been building really well recently, and I’m looking forward to having another weekend in the saddle of the Yamaha R9. Knockhill was a great round for me and the boys, and it’s shown that the R9 and I are working well together and getting stronger every weekend. Seven points is nothing in a championship and one race can change everything. So, with that in mind, I want to keep the momentum going, keep doing what we’re doing, and hopefully come away from Snetterton with another set of strong results. It’s a track that the Yamaha should go well at, and one that I’ve really enjoyed riding at in the past. I’m looking forward to seeing how the R9 goes there and we’ll work hard to come home with some more results to shout about.”

Harry Truelove

McAMS Yamaha - Rider (Quattro Group British Supersport)

“I’m looking forward to getting back to Snetterton this weekend – it’s a circuit I enjoy and one I’ve been comfortable and fast at in the past. Knockhill wasn’t the weekend I was hoping for, but there were positives to take from it and we’ve learned things that will help us going forward into the season. The goal for us is to pick things up where we left off at Donington Park – at the front of the field and battling for podiums. My form at the start of the year proved that we have what it takes to challenge at the sharp end, so we’ll go into the weekend with the aim of doing exactly that and bring home some results we’re proud of.”

Steve Rodgers

McAMS Yamaha, Team Principal

“After Knockhill, it was great to come away with the results we did, and it’s given the whole team a real lift heading into Snetterton. Brad is riding with a lot of confidence right now, we haven’t seen him ride harder than he has done recently, and three races this weekend is a big opportunity for him to make up ground in the championship. Ben is right in the title fight and proving every weekend that he belongs there, and there’s more to come as the next few rounds approach. Harry is hungry to bounce back after Knockhill, and we have every confidence he’ll put up a good fight. Snetterton has been good to us before and we’re going there with high hopes.”
