McAMS Yamaha Ready for Final Fight of 2026

This weekend hosts the final round of the 2026 British Superbike Championship, with McAMS Yamaha heading South to Brands Hatch, eager to make a strong final appearance and wrap up their season campaign in strong fashion.

The Yamaha-supported squad, spearheaded by Bradley Ray in the premier class, head into the final meeting of 2026 off the back of a constructive weekend at Donington Park two weeks ago, when the 29-year-old added a seventeenth podium finish to this year’s efforts.

The Yamaha R1 rider remains third in the championship standings ahead of this weekend’s dramatic points increase, which awards 35 points for victory, 30 points for second, and 27 points for third. With a maximum of 105 points up for grabs across three races, Ray and the team approach the final round eager to move up the order and challenge for a second place overall – with a gap of 51 points separating second and third in the order.

The supported team’s last visit to the Brands Hatch venue was a memorable outing for Ray and the team, who donned a striking special edition Cadbury’s Boost inspired livery. Ray and the team’s history at the famous grand prix venue is an impressive one – highlighted by a strong triple podium in the final round of 2025. The team are ambitious to achieve more of the same at this weekend’s last dance – backed by a strong set-up that has demonstrated great strength over previous rounds.

While Ray and the squad’s BSB effort are set for a final battle in the headline class this weekend, Yamaha R9 duo Ben Currie and Harry Truelove are amped for a final weekend of fight in the British Supersport Championship. The duo endured challenges with determination at Donington Park for the penultimate round of the season, but carry confidence into the weekend following a strong showing at the venue earlier this year.

The pair fought fiercely at the front of the pack across both races in July, with Currie claiming a hard-earned podium finish in the weekend’s Sprint Race. Currie and Truelove sit sixth and seventh in the standings heading into the final round of the year, both with similar intentions of progressing through the rankings.

The McAMS Yamaha squad end the season with their BSB and BSS line-ups already confirmed to remain unchanged for 2027 – with future plans locked in, attention is turned to ending the year on a positive foot to carry momentum into preparation for next season.

Brad Ray

McAMS Yamaha, British Superbike Championship

“Brands Hatch is a track I really look forward to racing at, and the weekend’s points increase offers a big opportunity to end the year with a strong statement. Donington Park delivered some small steps forward with the R1 and we arrive this weekend ready to leave it all out there for the final time this season. Second in the championship is still within reach if things fall our way, so we’ll go out there, enjoy it and give it everything.”

Ben Currie

McAMS Yamaha, British Supersport Championship

“I’m really looking forward to heading to Brands Hatch this weekend – the Yamaha R9 was strong during our earlier visit there this year, and I’m excited to build from that and end the weekend on a high. I want to end the year on a high, so we’ll fight with everything we’ve got and see where that takes us. Some progression through the standings would be a great way to end the year as we aim to build some momentum ahead of winter preparations.”

Harry Truelove

McAMS Yamaha, British Supersport Championship

“I’m keen to get out there this weekend. Donington Park didn’t deliver the results we wanted but I learnt a lot and believe we can head into this weekend with the intention of running at the front. If we can make a good start to the weekend and stay amongst the leading group in both races, I’m confident we can end the year on a high note.”

Steve Rodgers

McAMS Yamaha, Team Principal

“It’s been a long season, and the whole team deserves credit for the way they’ve kept pushing right to the end. The set-up has been strong all year, and we’ve got a lot of confidence heading to Brands Hatch this weekend, especially after what we achieved here twelve months ago. The goal is to finish with another strong weekend, and to end the year with our 2027 line-ups already confirmed is great and allows everyone to focus on the task at hand. Let’s finish the season off the right way, and start looking ahead to 2027.”
