Born with a passion for racing, Ben Currie began his competitive career at just nine years old on dirt bikes, progressing rapidly through the junior motocross ranks in Australia. During this period, he collected multiple A, B and C grade state and regional championships, laying the foundations for a successful racing career.
At the age of 16, he made the switch to tarmac racing, competing in the MRRDA along with state and club-level 600 championships in Melbourne, Victoria. After just one season on asphalt, his potential was clear, earning him the opportunity to move overseas and compete in the British National Superstock 600 Championship.
Relocating to the UK at a young age and still relatively new to the discipline, he adapted quickly, climbing through the ranks and securing podium finishes and race wins along the way. His continued progression saw him establish himself as a consistent front-runner in the British Supersport Championship, where he enjoyed a standout season in 2023, finishing the year as champion.
Now an experienced campaigner with national and international championship experience to his name, he takes the next step in his career for 2026, stepping onto Yamaha machinery aboard the all-new R9 with McAMS Yamaha. With proven speed, resilience, and a championship-winning mentality, he enters this new chapter focused firmly on challenging for victories and titles.
