“I’m really looking forward to getting back to work with the boys at McAMS Yamaha this weekend. Thruxton has been a strong circuit for me and the Yamaha R1 in the past, so we’re heading into the weekend with confidence in our ability to fight at the front. Oulton Park last time out was a positive one, and I believe we’re capable of fighting for those sort of results every weekend. We’ll hit the ground running on Friday and aim to make some strides forward ahead of the weekend’s qualifying and races. We’ll give it 110% no matter what happens, and hopefully we can take away some podiums for our efforts.”

“I’m really excited to be joining the British Supersport Championship with McAMS Yamaha at Thruxton this weekend. Stepping in to replace an injured rider is never the ideal circumstance, but I’m grateful for the opportunity and would like to wish Ben [Currie] all the best with his recovery. I’ll be aiming to get up to speed as quickly as possible, push to the limit, fly the flag for Yamaha, and deliver my best performance throughout the weekend. It’s going to be a great experience, and I’m really looking forward to the challenge.”

“I’m feeling ready for this weekend. Over the past two rounds we’ve been there or thereabouts, but haven’t managed to get the R9 on the podium. Our pace across the last few race meetings has shown that we’re undoubtedly capable of fighting for podiums, so we’ll head into the weekend with that in mind. Thruxton should be a strong circuit for the R9, so we’ll have a good go at it and push for progress from Friday onwards.”

Brad did an exceptional job at Oulton Park, and carrying that momentum and an added dose of confidence into the coming weekend, we’re hopeful that we can have another go at it over the next few days. The pace will undoubtedly be strong, but we have the tools and determination to make an upset at the front. In British Supersport, it will be great to have Can in the garage from both an experience and development perspective. His feedback and experience will be important as we continue to move the package forward, while working closely alongside Harry [Truelove] throughout the weekend.
